SHERMAN, Tex. - The visiting Simpson College Storm met their match against Austin College as the Kangaroos put on another dominant display in the pool.
AC started out the night winning the 200 Yard Medley Relay by 13 seconds with the team of Gentzel, Chanin, Pullarkat, Adams. They would also take the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay over the Storm to close the night with Cole, E. Brown, T. Brown, and Vu.
The Kangaroos took all but 1 individual 1st place in the duel meet. Collin Vu claimed the distance Freestyle events with a 1st place in the 1000 and 500 Yard Freestyle events. Jake Cole would take the 200 Yard Freestyle and finish 2nd to teammate Tyler Brown in the 100 Yard Freestyle event by 1.21 seconds.
Erik Gentzel took home two events of his own, claiming the 50 yard Freestyle and the 100 Yard Backstroke. Josh Chanin took the 200 Yard Individual Medley crown, while Amit Pullarkat out-touched Eric Brown for 1st place in the 100 Yard Butterfly by 3.74 seconds.
Parker Adams took home a rare 2nd Place finish in both the 1 & 3 Meter Dive Events, trailing by only 1/10th of a point in the 3-Meter.
Austin College is back home with another Invitational this weekend in Hannah Natatorium on SENIOR DAY. First event begins at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 9th, 2016. Come out and support the Seniors that have given so much to build this program up to what it is today.
