GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Austin College men's soccer team wrapped up the regular season with a scoreless draw on the road at Southwestern, bringing the team's overall record to 7-5-4 and conference mark to 6-5-3. The 'Roos now shift their attention to the SCAC Tournament next weekend.

It was a defensive struggle throughout, as both sides were limited in their scoring chances throughout the game. Southwestern managed six shots in the first half, while the 'Roos had just three attempts before the break. Things stayed the same into the second half, with the Pirates holding a 6-1 edge in shots, but thanks to outstanding defensive effort on both sides the match would head to overtime with neither team able to find the net. Both teams got one look at the goal in the first overtime but neither could connect, and the 'Roos got two shots in the second overtime but were turned away.

Joseph Khalaf earned his second clean sheet of the weekend, making eight saves for Austin College. The 'Roos now enter the SCAC Tournament as the No. 6-seed, and will get a rematch with Southwestern in the first round on Friday. The tournament is being hosted by the Pirates, and match time is set for 1:30 p.m.
