Austin College Men Earn Third Straight Victory

The Austin College men's soccer team only managed two shots against Mary Hardin-Baylor, but the 'Roos made the most of them in getting a 1-0 victory over the Crusaders on Tuesday night. The 'Roos have won three in a row and now hold a 4-1 record on the year.

On the heels of being named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, Phillip Le continued his hot start to the season with his fourth goal, and third game-winner. Le has tallied in three straight matches, this time in the 53rd minute to provide the difference against UMHB. Thomas Quick assisted on the game-winning goal.

Likewise, SCAC Defensive Player of the Week Joseph Khalaf earned his second shutout of the season to get the win. The sophomore keeper stopped all seven shots he faced, as UMHB owned a 16-2 edge in shots for the match.
