Men's Soccer Blanks Centenary for First SCAC Win

The Austin College men's soccer team scored a pair of second half goals and shut down Centenary College in a 2-0 victory on Friday night in Shreveport. The 'Roos improve to 3-2 overall this season and 1-0 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

After a scoreless first half of play, Phillip Le tallied his fourth goal of the season on an assist from Juan Ramirez just over a minute into the second half, putting the 'Roos on the board at the 46:21 mark. That remained the lone goal until the 67th minute, when Harroon Ismail collected a loose ball off of a corner kick and punched it into the back of the net to make it a 2-0 game.

Joseph Khalaf and Michael Moran combined for the clean sheet, with each keeper making one save as Austin College used a 21-10 shot advantage to earn the win. The 'Roos will be looking to win their third straight on Saturday when they take on Millsaps College.
