Men's Soccer Falls to Colorado College in SCAC Quarterfinals

The Austin College men's soccer team saw its season come to a close with a 2-0 loss to Colorado College in the quarterfinal round of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday night. The 'Roos finish the season with a record of 4-13-3 overall.

The Tigers, who entered the tournament as the third seed, jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with goals in the 8th and 12th minutes of action against the sixth-seeded 'Roos. Colorado College looked to be on the verge of building on that lead before the Austin College defense tightened up and shut down the Tigers the rest of the way.

However, the 'Roos were unable to counter with any offense of their own, and the Tigers held a 12-3 shot advantage in the game. Andrew Celio made three saves in goal for the 'Roos.
