'Roo Men's Soccer Falls in Regular Season Finale

The Austin College men's soccer team fell 2-0 to Colorado College on Sunday afternoon in the team's regular season finale. The 'Roos are now 8-8-2 overall this season and 4-6 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play heading into the conference tournament next weekend. 

The game was a defensive battle with neither team being able to muster much offense through most of the first half until Matt Fechter manage to curl his corner kick into the net in the 43rd minute to make it 1-0 heading into halftime. 

Colorado College would add to their lead early in the second half when Keith Drury scored on a rebound of Daniel Wright's shot with Fechter also getting an assist on the play to make it 2-0 in the 56th minute of action. The 'Roos got eight of their 10 shots in the game in the second half but were unable to put any in the net, and the game would end with the Tigers holding onto their two goal cushion. 

Andrew Celio made six shots in goal for the 'Roos, who move on to face the University of Dallas in the first round of the SCAC Tournament on Friday at 5:00 p.m. in San Antonio.
