Austin College Falls to Colorado College

The 'Roos are now 6-14 overall and 1-10 in conference play.

Kidus Getenet scored 21 points to lead Austin College, knocking down 5-of-7 from long range, and Jamien June stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists, four steals, and a block. The 'Roos shot 38.3% from the field, compared to 48.3% for the Tigers, and Colorado College outscored Austin College 16-to-6 from the free throw line.
The 'Roos led 18-17 eight minutes into the game, but the Tigers put together a big run down the stretch of the first half to head into the locker room leading 41-27. Colorado College pushed the margin to 58-34 with 11:58 left to play, and the 'Roos were unable to get the deficit back to single digits the rest of the way, cutting it to 73-62 with 1:24 left before the Tigers scored the final five points of the game. Asher Nofziger scored a game-high 22 points and pulled down eight rebounds for Colorado College.
Austin College heads to Houston on Sunday, where they'll take on the nationally-ranked University of St. Thomas.
