'Roo Men Fall to Dallas

The Austin College men's basketball team found itself in a double digit hole at halftime and was unable to battle back in an 86-69 road loss at the University of Dallas on Friday night. The 'Roos are now 6-15 overall and 2-8 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Turnovers proved to be a big factor in the loss, with the 'Roos turning it over 19 times, translating to 28 points for Dallas, compared to 10 points off of turnovers for Austin College. The Crusaders also owned a huge advantage at the free throw line, where they out-scored the 'Roos 23-6. Austin College attempted just 13 free throws, while Dallas shot 34.

Josh Dickerman came off the bench to pour in 18 points in just 19 minutes, hitting 7-of-15 shots and adding five rebounds in the loss. Austin Wells and Justin Wade each chipped in 10 points for the 'Roos, while UD's Darrius Colvin led all scorers with 25 points.
