The Austin College men's basketball team saw its three game winning streak come to an end on Saturday as Trinity pulled away late to top the 'Roos 85-73. The 'Roos are now 13-6 overall and 3-6 in SCAC play with the loss.

Trinity jumped out to a 7-2 lead early and aside from the 'Roos briefly tying things up at 7 with 16:22 left in the opening half, the Tigers held the lead throughout the entire first half of action. After taking a 37-31 lead into the break, Trinity continued to lead Austin College for the rest of the night.

The 'Roos got to within four points at 65-61, but the Tigers used a 12-5 run to open up a double digit lead and Austin College was unable to get the margin under seven the rest of the way. The 'Roos were limited to just 36.1% shooting from the field, and 29.4% accuracy from long range in the game.

Cedric Hudson scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the 'Roos, and Alan Sullivan added 20 points and seven rebounds in the loss. Brian Baehl chipped in 15 points, four rebounds, and four assists for Austin College.
