The Austin College men's basketball team struggled from the floor, shooting just 29.4% as a team while Colorado College hit 50% on their way to handing the 'Roos a 90-65 loss. The loss snaps a three game win streak and is the first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference defeat this season, bringing the team's record to 7-7 overall and 3-1 in the SCAC.

After a Josh Dickerman three pointer to make it 8-6 with the Tigers leading, Colorado College went on a 13-0 run to go on top 21-6 with 10:22 left in the first half. Austin College got treys from Aaron Anwary, Andres Rivera, Kevin Graham, and Jeremy Swisher but the 'Roos were unable to get the margin back to single digits against the hot-shooting Tigers.

The Tigers hit 5-of-9 threes and out-rebounded the 'Roos 22-11 in the opening half and Austin College was unable to recover after the break, as Austin College went ice cold from deep, hitting just 2-of-17 three point attempts in the second half.

Swisher was the lone 'Roo to reach double figures, scoring 10 points and adding five boards. Alan Sullivan chipped in eight points, and Austin Freet had six points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
