Cold Shooting Does in 'Roo Men's Hoops

The Austin College men's basketball team shot just 26.7% from the field and Centenary hit 58.6% from the floor on their way to handing the 'Roos a 75-60 loss on Tuesday night in Shreveport. The 'Roos are now 6-12 overall and 2-7 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play with the loss.

The 'Roos trailed just 35-33 at halftime as they used seven first half three pointers and seven offensive rebounds to keep it close, but shot just 20.7% from the field in the second half, including hitting just 1-of-11 three point attempts as Centenary pulled away. Jeremy Swisher scored 16 points to lead the 'Roos as both he and Ransom Okpala knocked down three treys in the game.

Brian Baehl scored 12, Austin Freet added 10 and Okpala finished with nine points. The 'Roos committed only 11 turnovers in the game, but were out-rebounded 38-31, with 17 of their boards coming on the offensive glass.
