Balanced Offense Leads 'Roo Men to Win at TLU

The Austin College men's basketball team put four players in double figures on their way to avenging last week's loss to TLU, topping the Bulldogs 78-71 on Saturday night. The 'Roos are now 6-11 overall and 2-6 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play with the win.

The 'Roos trailed 35-34 at halftime but got hot from outside in the second half, with Jeremy Swisher sinking 4-of-6 treys after the break to help the 'Roos outscore the Bulldogs 44-36 in the second half. Swisher finished with 20 points to lead the 'Roos and added five rebounds, while both Austin Freet and Ransom Okpala scored 17 points.

Each player also just  missed out on a double-double, with Okpala grabbing nine rebounds and Freet corraling eight. Brian Baehl scored 10 points and established a new career high with seven assists in the win as the 'Roos knocked down 11-of-26 three pointers, including 8-of-13 in the second half.
