Second Half Surge Propels Men's Hoops Past Pirates

The Austin College men's basketball team outscored Southwestern by 12 in the second half on Saturday night, giving the 'Roos a 57-52 victory over the Pirates in Georgetown. The 'Roos are now 6-16 overall and 3-9 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play with the victory.

The 'Roos fell behind 32-25 at the break but rallied back behind a strong offensive performance from Ransom Okpala, who hit 8-of-17 shots and knocked down a pair of threes on his way to a game-high 21 points. He also had four rebounds, four steals, and two blocked shots. Andre Bryant chipped in with nine points and Alen Michael had a game high 10 rebounds in the victory.
