The Austin College football team scored nine points in the final 3:32 of the fourth quarter on Saturday evening to topple Southwestern Assemblies of God University 25-17, giving the 'Roos their first victory of the season and snapping a 14 game skid in the process.

Sean Sweeney had a monster game to lead the 'Roos offensively, carrying 30 times for 208 yards with a 20 yard touchdown run in the first quarter as the team took a 13-10 halftime lead. The lead grew to 16-10 in the third before SAGU grabbed a 17-16 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

With time winding down in the fourth and with SAGU in possession, the 'Roos got a fumble recovery by Nathan Packard to keep their chances alive and three plays later Noah Jesko found PJ Fuller for a 29 yard touchdown strike to put Austin College ahead, and with 1:15 left Andrew Klink drilled his fourth field goal of the game to make it a 25-17 final.

Packard led the 'Roos with seven tackles, including five solo stops, and Colter Headrick picked off a pair of passes in the victory.
