LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Austin College baseball player Josh Lewis has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office has announced.

Lewis, a senior right-hander from Rowlett, tossed a gem in a win over Dallas Christian last weekend. Lewis threw a complete game shutout in a 7-0 victory, striking out 10 batters with zero walks and allowing just two hits. For the year, Lewis is 2-0 with a 0.73 earned-run-average in his first two starts.

Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
