After a busy start to the year, it’s a light weekend for Austin College athletics with only men’s and women’s soccer in action as both teams head out on the road on Friday and Sunday.
Both teams open up the weekend with a trip to Shreveport, Louisiana on Friday where they’ll take on SCAC foe Centenary in a pair of matches that will not count toward the conference standings. The women’s team takes the field at 5:00 p.m., while the men get their match underway at approximately 7:00 p.m.
After Friday’s trip the ‘Roos head southwest to Houston, where they’ll face the newest addition to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, St. Thomas, on Sunday. Once again, the matches on Sunday will not count toward the conference standings, with SCAC play officially opening up for men’s and women’s soccer the first weekend of October. The women’s team will take on the Celts at noon on Sunday, with the men following at 2:00 p.m.
