Webster Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo baseball player Jake Webster.

Webster, a senior from Rockwall, has been a four-year starter at shortstop for the 'Roos, and this boasts a career batting average of better than .300 in addition to driving in nearly 60 runs during his time in an Austin College uniform. This year, Webster finds himself among the team leaders in hits, doubles, and runs batted in, and has matched his career highs with two home runs and 22 RBI. He's also set personal bests with 27 runs scored, six doubles, and a .441 slugging percentage as he winds down his career on the diamond.

Modern Woodmen of America is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
