SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's basketball player Reagan Chiaverini.
Chiaverini, a senior from Parker, Colo., had a huge game to help the 'Roos advance to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference semifinal round last weekend in an 80-63 win over Schreiner. Chiaverini poured in a career-best 24 points and added 10 rebounds and five assists for the 'Roos, boosting her scoring average to a team-leading 13.7 points-per-game. Earlier this week, Chiaverini was named first team All-SCAC for her outstanding play this year, finishing ranked in the top 10 in the league in scoring, rebounding, assists, and blocked shots.
