Welcome back to another season of Austin College Athletics! Our Teams have been working hard through fall camp, and they are very eager to kick their 2018 campaigns off with a “W.” There is an abundance of opportunities around campus to support #RooNation this weekend, so let’s get to the schedule as I know many of you are eager to find out where to be and when. This is the first 2018 installment of the AC Athletics Update!
Men’s Water Polo
It’s here, and it’s televised! Make sure to catch the first ever Men’s Water Polo matches for Austin College on ESPN+ this weekend. They have an impressive schedule to start 2018, competing against the “Nation’s Elite” in their first Water Polo season in AC Athletics History. Good luck to Head Coach Mark Lawrence and the Kangaroos as they embark on this historic endeavor.

Women’s Volleyball
In their first tournament of the year, Austin College Volleyball will take on Hendrix and Concordia on Friday, followed by Millsaps and Louisiana College on Saturday. All four matches will take place in Hughey Gymnasium. Come support our Kangaroos in each of these competitive Week 1 matchups.
Good luck to Head Coach Ed Garza and his Kangaroos in their quest to start their season 4-0.

Women’s Soccer
Also kicking off their home opener is the Women’s Soccer Team. Taking on McMurry is always a challenge, so our Kangaroos can use all the support they can get from #RooNation. Come on out to the Dr. Jack Pierce Memorial Soccer Complex and cheer AC on against the WarHawks on Friday, and against Sul Ross State University on Sunday!

Men’s Soccer
After two straight seasons with a winning record, Austin College Men’s Soccer is truly on the rise. Standing in their way this week is their home opener against the McMurry WarHawks. Under the lights at 8:00PM at the Dr. Jack Pierce Memorial Soccer Complex is where you will want to be this evening to cheer our Kangaroos. With #RooNation’s support, we can almost certainly help them improve on their stellar semi-final performance in the SCAC tournament last year.

Men’s & Women’s Cross Country
Head Coach Bryan Garcia enters his fourth season at the helm of the Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Teams, and with the Women qualifying for the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional last year, expectations are high for the 2018 season.
The ‘Roos will compete this weekend in the DBU Patriot Opener and log their first competitive times of the year, so let’s hope they set the bar high. We know they will only get faster as the season progresses.

The home opener against Southwestern Assemblies of God University is set for tomorrow, #RooNation. So pack the stands at Apple Stadium at 1:00PM and cheer on our “Gridiron Heroes” as they try to start the 2018 campaign 1-0.
