Welcome back from Jan Term, #RooNation. It’s always great to see familiar faces bustling around campus, through the mall way, and in the cafeteria. Our Winter Sports will be coming to a close soon, and some of our Spring Sports have already kicked off their first competitions.
We have a lot to discuss for this weekend, including Men’s and Women’s Basketball Senior Day. So make sure you mark your schedules to support our ‘Roos in action this weekend. This is the AC Athletics Update!
Women’s Basketball
Our Kangaroos picked up a huge win over Schreiner on the road last weekend, 70-41, but dropped a tightly contested 67-57 contest at Trinity the day prior.
Tonight represents the first of our final two regular season home games this season, and the #3-South Region Austin College Kangaroos host Johnson & Wales at 6:00PM in Hughey Gym before hosting Senior Day against Colorado College tomorrow, 2/9/19 at 5:30PM.
Please come say thank you to Mikayla Gascich, Ann Savage, Caitlyn Collins, Bryce Frank, and Assistant Coach Morris Shell III for everything they have done to further substantiate AC Women’s Basketball’s competitiveness to the nation and represent Austin College in competition over the last four years!

Men’s Basketball
Our Men’s Basketball Team dropped two 10-point decision to Trinity and Schreiner on the road last weekend, but come back to Hughey Gymnasium for 2 final regular season contests. They host JWU tonight at 8:00PM and the game against Colorado College tomorrow at 7:30PM will serve as their Senior Night.

Baseball’s home games against Iowa Wesleyan for this weekend have been cancelled due to the threat of inclement weather, but keep an eye on the ACRoos.com schedule as Softball hosts Jarvis Christian on Tuesday, 2/12/19, and the Swimming & Diving SCAC Championships start on Wednesday in San Antonio.
Again, we sincerely hope that you take some time to catch the last two regular season Men’s and Women’s Basketball games tonight and tomorrow, as we our Seniors close out their final season as active Kangaroos.
