Legends Weekend 2018 is almost here!
The weekend will kick off this Friday, August 3 with our 'Roos Reception in the Pouch Club, located in the Wright Campus Center, at 7:00 p.m. The following evening, we'll be inducting the Athletics Hall of Honor Class of 2018, as well as honoring our Kedric Couch Coaches of the Year and this year's winner of the Joe Spencer Award for Meritorious Service and Lifetime Achievement in Coaching. That event begins at 5:00 p.m. in the Sid Richardson Center, located in the Mason Complex.
Finally, the weekend will conclude with the 36th Annual Slats McCord Golf Tournament at Stone Creek Country Club in Sherman, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
This year as part of the Legends Gala on Saturday evening, we are offering up a huge prize as part of our auction, courtesy of Mike Foster and Larry Fedora. You'll be able to bid on a package to fly to Chapel Hill, North Carolina for your choice of one of two UNC games (October 13 versus Virginia Tech, or November 3 versus Georgia Tech). Also included in the package:
- Flight to/from Chapel Hill (meals/drinks provided)
- 4 Sideline Passes
- 4 Head Coach Suite Tickets
- Meet Larry Fedora in person
Bidding for this spectacular prize package starts at $10,000, for a prize valued at $12,000. Not able to attend Legends but still want to bid on this unique opportunity?
