43 'Roos Named to SCAC Fall Academic Honor Roll

LAWRENCEVILLE, Texas - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced the members of the 2017 Fall Academic Honor Roll, and 43 members of the Austin College cross country, soccer, and volleyball teams have earned the distinction. In all, 372 student-athletes from throughout the SCAC were named to the Academic Honor Roll.

Since its inception in the fall of 1997, over 25,800 male and female student-athletes have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom. To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.

Jimmy Ding earned Academic Honor Roll recognition from the men's cross country team, while women's cross country runners Phung Banh, Bailey Clark, Victoria Dodd, Eden Llamas, and Alex Quinn also earned the distinction.

Men's soccer was represented by Sebastian Bohlmann, Jonathan Estrada, Chase Gaskill, Johnathan Gonzalez, Taylor Goyen, Josh Jones, Coby Kelton, Joseph Khalaf, Phillip Le, Daniel Loredo, Michael Moran, Thomas Quick, Juan Ramirez, Colin Saum, Ben Sloan, Jack Wheaton, and Adam Williams.

On the women's side, Grace Auth, MacKenzie Bolen, Katie Davis, Hallie Dickerson, Erin Eckart, Victoria Rutherford, Kyli Scott, and Tori Strunk are the soccer players represented on the honor roll.

Finally, volleyball players Hannah Arbaugh, Dani DeWitt, Sam Fawcett, Tatiana Ferrari, Brooke Harris, Kayley LeBlanc, Kristen Massey, Madi McVay, Ally Raby, Aelyn Rodriguez, Chandler Sherman, and Madison Winslett were also named to the Academic Honor Roll.
