This Week in AC Athletics, 1/8 - 1/14

One week of Jan Term is in the books, #RooNationWomen’s Basketball remains unblemished in SCAC play after their two home victories this weekend, and Swimming & Diving capped their regular season in the AC Invite with strong showings against tough competition.

No home games on the docket for the next few weeks, but we will still update you on all the opportunities you have to support our Kangaroo Student Athletes while they compete on the road.  This is the Austin College Athletics Update!

Men’s Basketball

The Kangaroos (2-12, 0-3 SCAC) dropped two this weekend at home to Southwestern in a tightly contested 77-70 game, and Texas Lutheran 79-69.

AC travels to Colorado Springs this Friday to face the Tigers before visiting Irving to take on the Crusaders.  Make sure you stay up to date by following @acsports and support our Kangaroos.

Women’s Basketball

Austin College (10-4, 3-0 SCAC) was impressive in their first home games of 2018 with a combined margin of victory of 74 points over Southwestern and Texas Lutheran.  Earlier this week, Bryce Frank was named SCAC Player of the Week for her performance in those contests.

A tough test awaits the Kangaroos on the road this weekend in Colorado Springs as AC will take on the Tigers of Colorado College.

Upon their return, the Women’s Team will travel to the University of Dallas to play the Crusaders this Sunday at 2. Make sure you follow @acsports & @roos_hoops to stay current as the action unfolds!

Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving

Men’s Swimming & Diving completed their regular season with a 4th place finish in the AC Invite, while the Women’s Team closed their dual meet season with a strong 5th place showing on Senior Night.

Thank all of you for coming out to support our Athletes in their final home contest.  We appreciate your support and we hope you will wish the Swimmers luck as they prepare for the SCAC Championships in February.

Thank you Seniors of the Swimming & Diving teams for all of your hard work these past four years.  Good luck to Men’s & Women’s Basketball on the road at Colorado College and University of Dallas this weekend.  And to all of you abroad for Jan Term, stay safe and have a great time.  We will see you when you get back.

And as always, when supporting the ‘Roos from your Study-Abroad, or from the stands…
