LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - 39 members of the Austin College men's and women's basketball and swimming and diving teams have earned Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll recognition, the league office has announced.
To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.
Among those honored were baseball players Chase Almaguer, Trevor Anderson, Austin Dudley, Chance Hatchel, Seth Howard, Josh Lewis, Collin Maynard, Brett Taff, Tyler Tarbox, and James Wyche. Softball players Tori Herrera, Emily Low, Lauren Mara, Jordan Proctor, Felicia Rivera, Taylor Van Kirk, and Marina Wise were also Academic Honor Roll recipients.
Men's tennis players Safe Abdel-Rahman, Pieter Jon Cabato, William Crouch, Travis Fortune, Preston Glasscock, Josh Granberry, Kenneth Hardy, Siddharth Kortikere, Jeff Kubena, Erik Meendsen, Jacob Morgan, and Daniel Oxenreiter were also Academic Honor Roll members, as were women's tennis players Katie Barber, Magan Green, Carlye Lide, Brenna McCown, Grace Ortiz, Anna Sergiovanni, and Kirsten Weber.
Rounding out Austin College's honorees were women's distance track runners Victoria Dodd, Alex Quinn, and Shelby Stipp.
