The Austin College men's and women's basketball and men's and women's swimming and diving teams had 40 student-athletes named to the SCAC Winter Academic Honor Roll, the league office has announced. That brings Austin College's total to 97 earning Academic Honor Roll status thus far, with the spring list still to be released.
The SCAC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who post a grade-point-average of 3.25 or better during the semester in which they compete. For winter athletes, this is the spring academic semester.
Men's basketball players Brian Baehl, James Buck, Christian Chiles, Josh Dickerman, JP Feider, Austin Freet, Stephen Igbinosa, Cody Meyers, John Pass, Andres Rivera, Alan Sullivan, and Jeremy Swisher were all recognized.
From women's basketball, Lexi Abercrombie, Madi Aliff, Olivia Bailey, Olivia Cicci, Caitlyn Collins, Mikayla Gascich, Katie Gowdy, Bri Harvey, Kendall Heitmeier, Kayla Linthicum, Tiffany Litton, Kirsten Nance, Caitlin Stofferahn, Andrea Velez, and Kali Vittallo were all honored.
Men's swimmers Josh Chanin, Steven Cole, Erik Gentzel, Deric McCurry, Amit Pullarkat, and Collin Vu were each recognized as Academic Honor Roll performers.
Women's swimmers Anastasia Acobyan, Tianna Anderson, Keara Malone, Mandi Sarembock, Hyowoo Tae, Katherine Tuttle, and Lauren Wheeler round out Austin College winter honorees.
