Thomas Quick, a senior men's soccer player from Austin, had a career day in the team's final regular season game of 2017. Quick tallied his first career hat trick in the victory, including scoring the game-winner in a 7-0 victory over Centenary, and also added two assists. With three goals and two assists, Quick vaulted into second in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in goals and points, with 10 tallies and 25 total points this season.
Quick was one of three 'Roos to have a huge day offensively, as Jack Wheaton also scored a hat trick and Garrett Matacale had a goal and four assists. Quick was named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
